abu dhabi — The m-Government of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has announced that 1,800 people participated in the evaluation of the official portal of the UAE government — government.ae — in July. Results showed that 84 per cent satisfaction with the portal’s content quality, while 16 per cent were dissatisfied and provided comments for consideration.

The web pages that received dissatisfaction notes from visitors are being reviewed, updated and enriched using the visitor feedback submitted through the portal by the government portal team.

Commenting on the issue, Hamad Obaid Al Mansouri, director-general of the TRA, said: “We listen to the portal visitors’ comments as full partners not only as customers. This is the core of eparticipation, which involves engaging people in the development of services and policies. Happiness has been and will remain the ultimate goal of implementing smart government programmes, as announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, when he launched the m-Government initiative.”

The TRA launched the upgraded version of the UAE government official portal in 2016, taking into account global developments and local needs, in order to be the primary reference source for all government information and services in the country. — Wam
