- Staff Reporter

abu dhabi — The Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport (DMAT) — Abu Dhabi City Municipality has completed the decoration of Abu Dhabi with geometric patterns of light to celebrate the advent of Eid Al Adha.

The move comes as part of plans set by the DMAT to spruce up Abu Dhabi with bright lights that reflect the civilised appearance of the Capital so that it appears smarter and more attractive to tourists.

The decorative lighting teams have installed 1,150 lighting balls and lighting designs on trees, and wrapped 840 palm trees in fairy lights, besides installing 900 geometric patterns, 12 flower models and 10 butterfly models.

The decorative lighting is inspired by the occasion of Eid Al Adha when Abu Dhabi is replete with tourists who hail from all parts of the UAE and the neighbouring countries.

Eid Al Adha lighting decorations were inspired by the authentic Emirati heritage and customs with the aim of bringing happiness and positivity among the public thanks to their attractive scenes. The geometric shapes carry different phrases like ‘Many Happy Returns and Eid Mubarak.

The Abu Dhabi City Municipality has completed all preparations for Eid Al Adha.
