Vayalil is shocked, says fight against obesity will continue

abu dhabi — A shocked VPS Healthcare managing director Dr Shamsheer Vayalil conveyed his heartfelt condolence­s to family of Eman Ahmad.

Vayalil, who had followed the case on a daily basis and instructed the 20-member specialist team to use all possible resources to achieve the best outcome, said the fight against obesity will continue.

“This is a difficult moment for all of us. Eman had shown good improvemen­t. We tried our best. My deepest condolence­s to Eman’s family,” Vayalil told Khaleej Times from Kerala.

worry for the hospital. “There’s no magic cure. We are willing to walk all that distance with the family,” he said. Vayalil had grand plans with Eman, which extended beyond hitting 100-kg mark. Vayalil was set to take her to educationa­l institutes and let Eman share her experience­s with students. He wanted to make Eman an ambassador for fight against obesity. With obesity being a serious issue among teenagers in the UAE, it was a great visionary plan that remains unfulfille­d. However, Vayalil added: “Eman will always be an inspiratio­n in the fight against obesity.”
