Preparations for Arab-Italian forum reviewed
dubai — Ahmed Al Midfa, the UAE vice-president of the Joint ArabItalian Chamber (JIAC), discussed preparations underway for the first Arab Italian Business Forum with Pietro Paolo Rampino, Italian vicepresident of JIAC.
The meeting was part of the UAE’s efforts to promote economic relations between the emirates and Italy. Al Midfa and the Italian executive discussed the activation of mutual initiatives to enhance these relations and promote further mutual investments.
The first Arab-Italian Business Forum will be held in Milan on October 12 to enhance communication between Arab and Italian companies and help them explore opportunities for cooperation.
The two executives defined the participation of UAE Undersecretary for Foreign Trade and Industry, Abdulla Al Saleh, who will be the main speaker in a session on the ‘Perspectives of Italian-Arab relations’.
Al Midfa stressed the importance of the role of the JIAC in establishing the best conditions for allowing both Arab and Italian business communities to take advantage of opportunities. The Expo 2020 represents one of the major business developments that will attract investments in the Arab region.
Since 2016, the Joint Arab-Italian Chamber has been providing support and facilities to Italian companies operating in Arab countries and Arab companies operating in Italy.
