TCL plans overseas expansion

dubai — One of the leading brands of the Eros Group portfolio; Chinese consumer electronic­s company TCL Corp will be stepping up efforts to expand its presence in overseas markets, especially in Middle East, Europe, Russia and Africa.

The leading innovator in developing QLED technology and products, TCL Multimedia Technology Holdings Limited, is today amongst the top 4 leading television brands alongside Samsung, LG and Sony.

“Nearly 50 per cent of our revenue comes from outside China. TCL will continue to increase investment in semiconduc­tor display technology and artificial intelligen­ce, with an aim to reach the leading level in the world, as well as enhance intelligen­t manufactur­ing capacity in response to the Made in China 2025 strategy”, said Li Dongsheng, Chairman and CEO, TCL.

The sales volume of TCL Multimedia’s LCD TVs’ grew by 34.1 per cent in the first half of 2017 mainly due its strong sales performanc­e in the North American market and other key markets worldwide. TCL’s performanc­e in the UAE has also seen a growth of 75 per cent over 3 years with the 55 inch 4K UHD model of TCL television­s leading the market preference amongst the TCL products.
