UAE residents adopt AI faster than peers
UAE consumers rank high in appetite for artificial intelligence, says a new survey. Released by Mike Sutcliff, group chief executive officer, Accenture Digital, the results showed that 76 per cent of UAE residents are comfortable with artificial intelligence application responding to their query compared to 44 per cent globally. While 68 per cent interacted with computer-based applications in the last 12 months compared to 31 per cent globally.
The results showed 82 per cent cited the availability of artificial intelligence anytime as a key reason they prefer it to human interaction. The data revealed that 74 per cent residents engagements were faster and more polite than human interactions. AI investments in the UAE have recorded over 70 per cent increase over the past three years, and economic analysts have projected investments to touch Dh33 billion by the end of this year.
Businesses in the UAE across different sectors including as healthcare, education, oil and gas, and aviation are on their way to start integrating cognitive systems into their business. The Accenture Global’s survey was conducted globally among 26,000 consumers from 26 countries. Sutcliff said the artificial intelligence technology create exponential results for the companies and individuals.
The UAE survey results showed that 90 per cent agree that offering products/services through a centralized platform or assistant will be very important while 77 per cent agree that competitive advantages will be determined by the strength of their chosen partners and ecosystems. The survey’s trend results showed that 17 per cent of the UAE workforce is already made up of independence freelance workers. As many as 78 per cent claim that organisations can truly tap into what motivates human behavior with good experience design.
