dubai — The Dubai Police solved the mystery death of an Asian man, after his killer fled the country leaving no traces behind.

Colonel Ahmed Humaid Al Marri, director of the crime scene investigation department of Dubai Police, said they managed to solve the crime after zeroing down on the accused and sending a special team to his home country.

The police received information about the disappearance of the Asian worker from a farm in Dubai. The search and investigation team found his belongings and phone intact in his room. When questioned, the owner of the farm revealed that he employed two workers on the farm. One of them had insisted on travelling to his home country after saying that his mother was ill, but on the same day that the other man disappeared. So the former was immediately deemed a suspect in the crime.

Even after the criminal investigation team searched the farm with dogs, no evidence was found. Meanwhile, another team travelled to the home country of the other worker and found him after coordinating with the local authorities. Further investigations revealed that he had killed his colleague on the farm because of tribal differences between them and buried the body far away. To conceal the grave, he dug it very deep and placed the remnants of livestock and animals over it.

The police team found the remains of the victim in a heavily decomposed state.

Col Al Marri added that the accused is currently in jail in his home country and he will be tried there as well.
