Al Qubaisi best Arab parliament speaker

rabat — The Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) has awarded its ‘Excellence Award for Speakers’ to Dr Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC).

She won the award during the 22nd session of the AIPU Executive Committee in Morocco. Dr Qubaisi was given the award in recognition of her achievements at both national and Arab levels. The award was also given in appreciation of the FNC’s development under her stewardship and her pioneering national and international initiatives.

Dr Al Qubaisi dedicated the award to the President,His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; and Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation. — Wam
