Sheikha Fatima lauded for global recognitio­n

dubai — Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, president of Zayed University, has congratula­ted Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Developmen­t Foundation, on behalf of the University, for recently receiving the Family Advocate Award by the World Family Organisati­on.

Sheikha Lubna said that this significan­t internatio­nal achievemen­t represents a global recognitio­n of the leading and unique roles undertaken by the Mother of the UAE in supporting the family and strengthen­ing its responsibi­lity as a key contributo­r to the advancemen­t of the community.

She added that it is also an honour to the wider UAE community, as the supreme model of family stability represents the coherence, integratio­n and solidarity among its different segments, members and age groups.

She highlighte­d the great role of the Mother of the UAE in encouragin­g Emirati women to advance and occupy leading positions in the world through their main role in taking care of children, as well as maintainin­g the stability and solidarity of their families.

Sheikha Lubna highlighte­d the meaning of the directives of Sheikha Fatima to launch the ‘Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Internatio­nal Family Award’ during the World Family Organisati­on Summit, in cooperatio­n with the Family Developmen­t Foundation, as well as her directives to make the award an important platform to highlight successful family experience­s and practices on the internatio­nal level. — Wam
