Forum to shed light on FDI
abu dhabi — The Departments of Economic Development in Dubai and Abu Dhabi will organise the fifth edition of the UAE Economic Outlook Forum on January 9 and 10, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy.
The forum will be attended by several high-profile government officials, a selected group of global and local economic experts, and representatives of the business community and the financial institutions to shed light on the role of direct foreign investment and trade in encouraging innovation and productivity, and pushing growth and prosperity in the UAE forward.
Khalifa bin Salem Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi, said that this year’s edition of the forum aims to address the economic prospects of the UAE for the year 2018 in light of the latest updates and developments in the global economy and its future projections. It will also discuss the most important economic developments in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and their future outlook.
Al Mansouri says that each year, the forum presents the best lessons learned from international experiences with respect to economic diversity, and the efforts of the UAE government to open new doors for the direct foreign investment in order to speed up economic diversity.
