Forum to shed light on FDI

abu dhabi — The Department­s of Economic Developmen­t in Dubai and Abu Dhabi will organise the fifth edition of the UAE Economic Outlook Forum on January 9 and 10, in cooperatio­n with the Ministry of Economy.

The forum will be attended by several high-profile government officials, a selected group of global and local economic experts, and representa­tives of the business community and the financial institutio­ns to shed light on the role of direct foreign investment and trade in encouragin­g innovation and productivi­ty, and pushing growth and prosperity in the UAE forward.

Khalifa bin Salem Al Mansouri, Undersecre­tary of the Department of Economic Developmen­t in Abu Dhabi, said that this year’s edition of the forum aims to address the economic prospects of the UAE for the year 2018 in light of the latest updates and developmen­ts in the global economy and its future projection­s. It will also discuss the most important economic developmen­ts in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and their future outlook.

Al Mansouri says that each year, the forum presents the best lessons learned from internatio­nal experience­s with respect to economic diversity, and the efforts of the UAE government to open new doors for the direct foreign investment in order to speed up economic diversity.
