269 ‘eyesores’ detected in Musaffah
abu dhabi — The Abu Dhabi Municipality has detected 269 violations that damage the aesthetic beauty of the emirate during an inspection campaign in Musaffah area.
The violations included covering fire extinguisher nozzles, lighting poles, pavements, directional traffic signs, asphalt and road markings, and drainage covers.
The municipality carried out inspection campaigns on roads and public facilities in the Musaffah Industrial Area as part of endeavours to maintain the civilised appearance of the city. The move included carrying out maintenance operations and ensuring the continuous improvement of the infrastructure.
Such efforts are part of inspections held with the aim of assessing the needs of the area and carrying out general maintenance works of various facilities.
The campaign was part of a series of campaigns targeting all parts of Abu Dhabi city to detect violations. It is also part of the municipality’s endeavours in following up violations, road conditions and public facilities and ensure they are permanently capable of meeting the needs of the public. The continuous monitoring and crackdown on these eyesores will maintain the civilised appearance of the Capital city, improve the infrastructure and the quality of living.
In the meantime, the municipality called on community members to contribute to the its efforts towards protecting public facilities from negative practices, and report any faults or facilities in need of repair — be it roads, lighting poles, public facilities and parks.
