Pak-China defence ties to boost global peace, security
beijing — All-weather partnership and the defence and military cooperation between Pakistan and China would help maintain regional and international peace and security, Ren Guoqiang, spokesperson of the Chinese ministry of national defence said.
“China and Pakistan share an all-weather partnership. We have maintained a very high level of defence and military exchange and cooperation,” he said while responding to a question during his monthly briefing held here.
The spokesperson expressed confidence that China-Pakistan military exchange and cooperation will help facilitate state-to-state cooperation between the two countries.

Regarding military exchanges and joint exercises between the two countries in future, he said both the countries have been discussing it.
It may be mentioned that Chinese and Pakistani air forces had conducted a joint training exercise “Shaheen VI” in China in September last year. Pakistan Air Force despatched JF-17 Thunder fighter jets and early warning aircraft to participate in the exercise.
Chinese J-11 fighters, JH-7 fighter-bombers, KJ-200 AWACS aircraft and ground forces including surface-to-air missiles and radar troops took part in that exercise.
Pakistan’s Naval Ship PNS Saif also visited a port in Shanghai and participated in a joint naval exercise with the ChineseNavy in December last year.
