Global convention to focus on innovation
dubai — The annual Dubai Global Convention will take place in Dubai on April 17-19, 2018, under the theme ‘Transformative Leadership for fostering Creativity, Innovation & Business Excellence’.
Organised by the Institute Of Directors India (IOD), in association with Khaleej Times, the event will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of State for Tolerance, who shall also deliver the keynote address. Abdulla Al Saleh, Undersecretary of Foreign Trade & Industry, Ministry of Economy, UAE, shall deliver the inaugural address.
Navdeep Singh Suri, ambassador of India to the UAE, shall preside over the convention, which will bring together a large number of global business leaders and thought leaders. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade and Industry, and the Consulate General of India in Dubai have been announced as the official partners for the convention. The event is expected to see the participation of over 450 business executives from across the globe.
Dr Tayeb Kamali, chairman, UAE Chapter — Institute of Directors, India, said business leaders and executives today are under increasing pressure to achieve sustainable and profitable growth, while navigating constant changes in the economic landscape, geopolitical challenges, emerging technologies, shortened product life cycles, global competition, and ever-changing consumer behaviour.
“Each of these present new challenges, as well as unique opportunities. Business leaders must be able to align corporate strategy and execution, to position their organisations for long-term success in the global marketplace,” said Kamali, who is also director-general, Education Training Development, UAE Ministry of Interior.
