Your journey to DXB should be a breeze

- Team KT

dubai — Getting to the Dubai International Airport will be a breeze from next Friday as the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) opens three new bridges on Airport Street. With this, the RTA will have opened all the bridges on the arterial street.

A two-lane tunnel will be opened in July to serve the traffic inbound from Airport Street heading towards Marrakech Street.

The first bridge will ease the snarls resulting from the overlapping traffic at the Nad Al Hamar Interchange, while a ramp at the Marrakech-Aiport Streets Junction will take motorists directly to the airport. The third bridge will take motorists to the Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects.

The Airport Improvement Project upgrades four junctions:

> Rashidiya junction: Two bridges on the Airport Street of three lanes in each direction > Airport-Nad Al Hamar streets junction: A two-lane ramp to serve traffic from the Nad Al Hamar Street to the Airport Street > Marrakech junction: Two bridges of three lanes in each direction

along with a ramp leading to Terminal 3 of the Dubai International Airport. Another bridge and a two-lane underpass in the direction of Marrakech Street

> Casablanca Street junction: An additional single-lane ramp in the direction of Casablanca Street. An alternative route from Al Garhoud, enabling direct access to Terminal 1 and 3 of the airport.
