Traffic volunteers drive launched by RTA

dubai — With the aim of supporting the traffic movement in Dubai, a new initiative ‘Traffic Awareness Ambassador­s’ was launched with the help of volunteers of the ‘Day for Dubai’ drive and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

Maitha bin Adai, CEO of Traffic and Roads Agency, said: “Since the launch of the initiative, the agency was engaged in coordinati­on with the concerned bodies of the ‘Day for Dubai’ initiative. It has been agreed to open volunteeri­ng channels for delivering the RTA’s business such as improving the traffic safety level in Dubai. The agency has received more than 70 volunteeri­ng applicatio­ns for promoting traffic awareness of community members.
