Digital platform to help diabetics across region
dubai — The Diabetes and Ramadan (DAR) Alliance has announced the launch of an integrated digital hub that will help patients around the world manage their diabetes during the Ramadan period and beyond.
It will also allow physicians to access up-to-date medical information that are relevant to the needs of patients from across the region.
“Nowadays, it’s easy to find high quality medical information and they are readily available on the Internet and on our mobile devices. However, there remains a significant unaddressed needs specific to the one quarter of the world’s population: the Islamic population,” said Dr Mohamed Hassanein, chairman of the DAR Alliance.
The DAR Alliance integrated digital platform contains various informational tools, including the DAR alliance website (daralliance. org), which serves as a hub housing links from where a category of users can access relevant content.
Healthcare professionals can make full use of the dedicated educational platform, the DAR Academy (daralliancehcp.org) to visit educational webcasts, download useful resources, and access a plethora of information.
“With the ultimate goal of improving the lives of people, we believe this initiative, born in the UAE, will be able to help millions of people in the region and the world,” said Jean-Paul Scheuer, country chair & general manager for Sanofi Gulf Countries.
