Dubai residents get a ‘smart abattoir’
dubai — A new smart abattoir with advanced equipment and tools has begun pilot operation in Lisaili area, the Dubai Municipality has announced.
“We have started the experimental operation of the smart abattoir during Ramadan after the completion of the necessary resources,” said Ali Tahir Al Hammadi, head of the abattoirs section in the municipality.
“The smart abattoir offers its smart services through Al Mawashi App, where livestock can be purchased without the presence of the customer at the slaughterhouse. The livestock will then go for slaughter, preparation of the meat and then will deliver it to homes,” said Al Hammadi.
“We have veterinary staff for the inspection of livestock and to encourage slaughter only in the abattoir and reduce the phenomenon
