RAMADAN FATWAS

-

What is the du’aa of Iftar? A Umar bin Al-Khattab narrated that the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) used to say before Iftar: “Dhahaba ad-dhama’, wab-tallat al-‘urouq, wa thabata al-ajr insha’Allah.” (The thirst has gone and the veins have moistened and the reward is confirmed, if Allah wills.)

Mu’ad bin Zuhrah narrated that it was reported for him that the Messenger of Allah used to say before Iftar: “Allahumma laka somt, wa ala rizqika aftart” (O Allah! I have fasted for you, and with the sustenance given by you, I break my fast.)
