abu dhabi — The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisat­ion (MoHRE) has announced its updated costs for hiring domestic help through the Tadbeer service centres across the country for the rest of the year.

The Tadbeer centres offer four packages, which will be updated every six months after coordinati­ng with the authoritie­s concerned at countries from where domestic help are hired.

Khalil Ibrahim Khouri, assistant undersecre­tary for domestic help affairs at the MoHRE, said: “The ministry is keen to present a package of suitable prices to hire and employ domestic servants that could best suit the needs of families and employers.”

The updated price list, which is set at a higher cap, will make Tadbeer centres to offer customers multiple options to hire domestic helpers.

The price of the first package (permanent hiring) — does not include the government fees pertaining to issuing the entry visa, residence visa, medical fitness test, etc. This package provides families and employers with domestic help from outside the country, depending on their needs and requiremen­ts. Tadbeer have 11 service centres: Two centres at Al Bahiya old neighbourh­ood and Madinat Zayed in Abu Dhabi; four centres at Umm Al Sheif, Al Barsha 2nd, Jumeira 2 and Umm Al Sheif in Dubai; one centre at Industrial area 12 in Sharjah; three centres at Al Jurf area in Ajman; and one centre at Al Hulaifat locality in Fujairah.

The centres offer all services related to hiring and employing of domestic helpers, including opening a file for the customer, issuing, renewal and cancellati­on of employment contracts and work permits, reporting a domestic helper who stopped working, and withdrawin­g the report as well.

The centres also can process all applicatio­ns pertinent to completing the documents of the domestic help such as the medical fitness test, medical insurance, Emirates ID card, and stamping the residence visa.

They are also tasked with receiving domestic help once they reach the country and provide them with accommodat­ion before they are handed over to the customers.
