Help is at hand for Indian jobseekers

abu dhabi — If you are an Indian amnesty-seeker looking for a job, you must approach the Pravasi Bharatiya Sahayata Kendra (PBSK) centres in Dubai and Sharjah for help, a top official said. PBSK was formerly known as Indian Workers Resource Centre (IWRC) and recently renamed.

PBSK manager Anish Choudhury said: “They can mail to help@iwrcuae.in with ‘Amnesty Job-Seekers’ as the subject line. We would then send the applicants a template, which they have to fill and mail to help@iwrcuae. in. We will then forward the CVs to the Indian Embassy, which, in turn, will send them to the prospective employers,” he said.

Amnesty jobseekers, who cannot access the Internet, can visit the centres for assistance. The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi has received over 1,000 calls since the beginning of amnesty initiative.
