Asia Cup tickets go on sale from today

dubai — The eyes of the cricketing world will be fixed on the UAE from September 15 to 28 September as Dubai and Abu Dhabi prepare to host the 2018 Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Asia Cup.
Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) is hosting the Asia Cup 2018 on behalf of the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) and Dubai International Stadium and Zayed Cricket Stadium will be hosting the matches as per the schedule.
Tickets for the 2018 Asia Cup, which are priced from Dh20 to Dh750, will be available via the online booking site Platinumlist and at retail outlets across the UAE from August 20. Cricket fans can also buy season tickets for both the venues at attractive prices.
In Group A, India, the defending

champions, will face Pakistan, while in Group B Sri Lanka will play Bangladesh and Afghanistan. They will be joined by a sixth team represented by the winner of the Asian Cricket Council qualifier event.
The games will be played over a 50 over format starting from 3.30pm onwards.
The teams will start arriving in the UAE from 10th September. The first game will see Bangladesh take on Sri Lanka in front of what is sure to be a full-house at Dubai International Stadium.
All of the teams taking part in the 2018 ACC Asia Cup can expect huge support from fans who have flown in especially for the tournament as well as residents who live in the UAE, with a party atmosphere guaranteed in the stands.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Emirates Cricket Board signed an agreement on Friday for the United Arab Emirates to host the Asia Cup in September.
The UAE’s Minister for Culture, Youth and Social Development and the Chairman of the Emirates Cricket Board, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, signed on behalf of the ECB (Emirates Cricket Board). On behalf of the BCCI, the Acting Secretary Amitabh Choudhary signed the agreement. BCCI CEO Rahul Johri was also present, according to a release from BCCI. Al Nahyan said: “It is a matter of great pride for the UAE to host a prestigious event like the Asia Cup.”
