ras al khaimah — The Ras Al Khaimah Charity Foundation has contributed Dh1.03 million as cash allowances to 206 poor and low-income families in the emirate.
Mohammed Jakkah Al Mansouri, secretary-general of the foundation, said the allowances will support vulnerable people. “The cash allowances included outstanding rents, treatments fees, along with other living expenses. Some families, who were eligible for new houses under the Sheikh Zayed Housing programme, were also helped to buy new furniture and air-conditioners.”
More charity projects for the benefit of disadvantaged people, are to be announced soon, he added. Records show that the RAK Charity Foundation spent over Dh14 million on vulnerable families and individuals this year.
“The foundation is all set to address the needs of eligible people in collaboration with philanthropic and strategic partners.”
