Mariam Al Hammadi, director of The Big Heart Foundation, said the day is observed to “strengthen the ideals of peace among all nations and people”.

In the Capital, Sawab Centre in Abu Dhabi launched a campaign on its social media platforms to combat extremist ideologies online and promote positive alternatives. Under the hashtag #AfterTerrorism, the two-day campaign will run in Arabic, English and French.
