Overseas ministry to serve expats: PM

jeddah — Prime Minster Imran Khan has said that the Ministry for Overseas Pakistanis would be revamped in such a way that it would genuinely serve the Pakistanis, investors and resolve their problems.

Addressing a gathering of a overseas Pakistanis here at the King Palace, the prime minister thanked the Pakistani community for reposing their confidence in his party and underlined that the government would work for the welfare of masses and ensure respect for the rule of law.

Imran Khan said that overseas Pakistanis would play a big role in ‘New Pakistan’.

He said the government would provide a one-window facility to all constructi­on companies to facilitate them in investing in the constructi­on sector.

He said that since coming to power, his fight had been against corrupt people and fighting corruption and land-grabbers. He revealed that in Islamabad the government had started a drive against encroachme­nt, and till now had recovered property worth Rs300 billion. —
