BUY BOOKS FOR YOUR KIDS AND READ WITH THEM

I recently read about the Big Bad Wolf sale (3 million books up for grabs as Big Bad Wolf sale begins in Dubai, KT Oct 18). It is a very good initiative, and I think parents should make a good use of this opportunity. Parents these days often worry about their children getting addicted to the Internet and smart devices. We can influence young minds and change their behaviour by buying and reading books to them. I have fond memories of my uncle, who recently passed away. He was a voracious reader, a habit that made him a very good writer, too. In fact, he wrote so well that we often called him Shashi Tharoor of our family. Reading can make us better human beings.
