New plan to help drought victims

The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) will join hands with the World Food Programme (WFP) through a joint venture project titled “shock-responsive social protection” to alleviate the sufferings of drought-affected population in southern Sindh. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) in this regard was signed by both partners at a ceremony held recently, a BISP official said.
