Whatmore’s special training at Kricket’s Spero winter camp
dubai — Dav Whatmore, former Australian cricketer, one of the most reputed coaches in the cricketing world and current coach of the Kerala cricket team, will be providing special training in the winter coaching camp of Kricket’s Spero.
Kricket’s Spero has designed a specialised winter camp which began on December 16 and runs until December 31 at the Al Nasr Club, with focus on fitness, endurance and strengthening. The camp provides cricket enthusiasts an opportunity to train with highly acclaimed coaches and fitness trainers along with four days special training with Dav Whatmore.
“Kricket’s Spero follows a systematic training approach I come to understand the crucial role Kricket’s Spero is playing to develop the cricketing skills of youngsters in this part of the world. The success of 16-yearold Varun Nayanar in Indian domestic cricket and his chance to play in Kerala State’s U-19 is a strong testimony to the coaching skills of Kricket’s Spero. Following is his two centuries in the Vijay Merchant Trophy, he scored a double century in the Cooch Behar Trophy match,” said Whatmore.
“Apart from Varun, Aditya Prakash has also played for the Kerala U-16 team, in addition to Bethel Jose and Vishnu Menon playing for the Kerala U-14 team. I am sure that this is the contribution of dedicated coaches like Sony Cheruvathur, Pious Joseph, Ajith Perera, Aneesh Soman, Nishal VP, Rahul Ravindran, Sujith R and Mohammed Aneesh,” he added.
Meanwhile, Reji Cherian, CEO, Kricket’s Spero, said that this is a wonderful opportunity for budding players to understand the nuances of cricket from one of the world’s leading coaches.
