Iran exploring enrichment

The head of Iran’s nuclear programme says the country has begun “preliminary activities for designing” a modern process for 20-per cent uranium enrichment for its reactor in Tehran. Ali Akbar Salehi’s comments mounts pressure on the international community as 20-per cent enrichment would mean Iran has abandoned the terms of the 2015 atomic accord. —
