Hadfield, Hegde star in NAS win

Sheridan Hadfield (83) and Pradeep Hegde (51 not out) fired Nad Al Sheba Mammoths to 35-run victory over Zabeel Mammoths in the seventh edition of the DCC’s League of Mammoths cricket tournament.

NAS 208 for 8 in 25 overs (Hadfield 83, Hegde 51 n.o., Taneja 21 n.o.; Chavan 4-34, Suri 3-31) Zabeel 173 for 7 in 25 overs (Jaikel 36 retd hurt, Gandhi 27, Kumar 26 n.o.; Abbas 2-16, Jashnani 2-27).

Replacemen­ts for Pandya and Rahul

All-rounder Vijay Shankar and batsman Shubman Gill will replace the suspended KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya in India’s limited overs team, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has said.

Shankar will join the team before Tuesday’s one-day match in Adelaide where India will bid to level the series having lost in Sydney by 34 runs on Saturday.

Rayudu reported for suspect action

India’s part-time off-spinner Ambati Rayudu has been reported for a suspect bowling action during the first one-day internatio­nal against Australia in Sydney, the Internatio­nal Cricket Council (ICC) said.

Rayudu must now have his bowling action tested within 14 days.
