Book of love in tribute to Sheikha Fatima launched
abu dhabi — A book that features a collection of heartfelt anecdotes about the Mother of the Nation — from prominent personalities in the UAE — has been launched in Abu Dhabi. Umm Al Emarat: A Story of Giving from Abu Dhabi is the latest publication about Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood. It’s a book that brims with fond memories and messages of appreciation for her love and care for the sons and daughters of the UAE.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, inaugurated the recent launch of the 148-page book at the Qasr Al Watan library in Abu Dhabi. The book was published by Al Mubarak Foundation, in coordination with the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism.
“Sheikha Fatima is an extraordinary person who has done countless contributions for this great nation and has nurtured the sons and daughters of the UAE with love and utmost care,” said Sheikh Nahyan.

Messages in the book focus on her relentless efforts towards human development, as well as her role in empowering women, ensuring a decent and productive life for the people of the UAE, and creating a happy, inclusive society.
Shamsa Al Talee, CEO of Al Mubarak Foundation, said the idea of publishing the book emerged at a fair in 2017, which had been celebrated in the UAE as the Year of Giving, and it was initiated by Sheikha Moza bin Mubarak, the founder of the foundation.
“Sheikha Moza had proposed that it would be good to celebrate the life and achievements of Sheikha Fatima by inviting people to write thank you messages, as well as their own tales and memories of the Mother of the Nation,” Al Talee told Khaleej Times at the launch. It will be translated into English soon.
