Hope for Sudan

Sudan has taken baby steps to move towards a civilian government with the military, in principle, bowing to protesters’ demands for people’s participation in a transitional government. This is a small start but was essential to break the stalemate after president Bashir’s ouster. How the transition will work is anybody’s guess. The gains of the movement must not be frittered away. The Sudanese people deserve nothing less.
