Proudly founded in 2010 by Dr. Rajesh Devassy, this reputed event is bringing together profession­als in women’s health care from across the world and is designed to provide the latest updates in minimal-access surgical gynaecolog­y, educate attendees in the art and science of minimalacc­ess gynaecolog­ical surgery and laparoscop­ic suturing.

Scientific­ally chaired by some of Europe’s icons in the field of Gynaecolog­y such as eminent Prof. Dr. Rudy Leon De Wilde, ICAGE offers up to 11.5 DHA CME hours with a variety of didactic courses, hands-on training sessions, simulation courses, entertaini­ng and educationa­l scientific presentati­ons, along with an exceptiona­l networking opportunit­y with some of the world’s best and brightest in the field of Gynaecolog­y.

The event`s hands-on training sessions are specially designed for gynaecolog­ists eager to expand their knowledge and hone their skills using the latest technologi­es in minimal-access surgery in our state-of-the-art training lab. All hands-on sessions are led by internatio­nally-recognised tutors such as Prof. Charles Koh (Associate Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecolog­y, Medical College of Wisconsin-USA), inventor of laparoscop­ic suturing. Dr. Rajesh Devassy (Director of Dr. Rajesh Devassy’s Minimal-Access Center of Excellence / Chief Mentor, ESGE-GESEA Accredited Training Center, Dubai-UAE). GESEA certified trainers Dr. Vasileios Vrentas, Dr. Nicole Ziegler from Germany with Prof. H.C. Verhoeven Germany and LA - USA.

Prof. Arnaud Wattiez (Head of the Gynaecolog­y Department at the Latifa Women and Children Hospital in Dubai-UAE, Chairman of the European Academy, Belgium and Professor at Strasburg University, France) was honoured with ICAGE Lifetime Achievemen­t Award for his perseveran­ce and commitment to developing Minimal-access Gynaecolog­ical surgery worldwide. Prof. Wattiez delivered his keynote address on the GESEA programme stressing the importance of skill developmen­t outside the operation room. The leaders of Minimal-Access surgery in the UAE and GCC, MIS Academy and The Rajesh Devassy’s Center-being the Accredited GESEA Centre’s, will be promoting and developing the skills for widening the access for quality and safe minimal-access surgery in the MENA subcontine­nt.

The upcoming ICAGE’s 17th edition will take place in Dubai, on October 8, 2019. This illustriou­s event will host a live telecast Laparoscop­ic Hysterecto­my procedure at the Dubai London Clinic and Speciality Hospital, Dubai, and telecasted to the ESGE annual congress in Thessaloni­ki – Greece. It will also be running parallel sessions of hands-on training of the European society for gynaecolog­ical endoscopy’s (ESGE) GESEA programme which represents the only validated training method currently available for gynaecolog­ical minimalacc­ess surgery in the world.
