Pack your bags: Fly to Europe for Dh250

abu dhabi — Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, has announced operations from Abu Dhabi to five routes for tickets as low as Dh250.
The airline, known as the Europe’s greenest airline, will connect the UAE capital with Budapest and Bucharest from June 2020 and with Cluj-Napoca, Katowice and Sofia from September 2020.
The commencement of flights will be subject to aviation activities being resumed in the respective countries.
abu dhabi — Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company (Adnic) on Sunday said its first-quarter net profit surged 133.1 per cent this year at Dh122.6 million compared to Dh52.6 million in the same period in 2019.
In a statement, the Abu Dhabibased company said its performance was driven by ongoing commercial momentum and effective business continuity measures allied to a strong balance sheet and solid market position.

Nahyan, Chairman of ADNIC, said AD reported a robust set of numbers and achieved growth in both top-line as well as profitability.
“Adnic also added its full support to the UAE’s comprehensive response measures in the fight against Covid-19,” he said.
Adnic said it continued to capture market share across several business lines and gross premiums increased to Dh1.87 billion, a growth of 7.7 per cent compared to the first quarter of the previous year. Maintaining a profitable book of business is equally important and consequently underwriting profits showed a substantial increase to Dh151.2 million, a growth of 79.4 per cent over the previous year.
