SAUDI REPORTS 2,331 NEW VIRUS CASES

— Saudi Arabia on Thursday reported 2,331 new cases of coronaviru­s in the Kingdom, bringing the total number of infections to 258,156, including 45,157 active cases receiving necessary medical care.

There were 2,143 critical cases, while the condition of the rest was stable, the Ministry of Health announced.

As many as 7,409 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, raising the total recoveries to 210,398, the ministry said, adding total fatalities reached 2,601. Oman’s Ministry of Health announced 1,099 new coronaviru­s cases, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the Sultanate to 72,646.

The Oman News Agency quoted the ministry as saying that the country had to date also registered 355 deaths as a result of the disease. The country reported six new deaths on Thursday.

“So far, 51,349 patients had recovered from the virus in Oman,” the ministry added. —
