UAE firm to be part of dh2.1B Greece project

dubai — UAE-based property developer Eagle Hills and Temes, a high-end tourism and real estate developer in Greece, will jointly develop a mixed-use resort project in Greece at a cost of €500 million euros (Dh2.14 billion), it was announced on Saturday.

Spread of 1.8 million sqm of land in the eastern Messinia region of Greece, the facility will house signature sports and recreation facilities, entertainm­ent, and golf course and a themed community of second-home properties, the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Internatio­nal Cooperatio­n said in a statement on its website.

The announceme­nt was made following the second UAE-Greece Strategic Cooperatio­n Forum, which was held virtually and jointly chaired by Dr Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan

Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and Adonis Georgiadis, Greece’s

Minister of Developmen­t and Investment­s. They also discussed political cooperatio­n, internatio­nal humanitari­an developmen­t, trade and investment­s, culture, energy, digital cooperatio­n and agricultur­e.

The UAE’s ministeria­l delegation included Abdulrahma­n bin Mohammad Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention and Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs; Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for Internatio­nal Cooperatio­n; Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth; Ohoud bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Developmen­t and the Future; Dr Ahmad bin Abdullah Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Entreprene­urship and SMEs; and Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade.
