Whole some goodness intact with Saha Fresh Chicken

The leading poultry producer in the region for over 40 years, Arabian Farms, brings in a fresh new addition to the UAE market.

-

Arabian Farms has become a household name since they first began operations in 1978. As producers of more than 120 million eggs in the UAE and 100 million eggs in Saudi Arabia, it’s easy to see why.

Walk into any hypermarket or supermarket in both the countries, and you’re bound to find the iconic blue-and-orange SAHA Fresh Egg trays on the shelves — along with at least 20 other brands. To say that the market competition is tough is an understatement; it is certainly not for the chicken-hearted. So how did SAHA emerge as one of the leading poultry producers in the region?

According to Arabian Farms’ CEO Dr Suheel Ahmed, “If I were to single out one unique feature about our products, it would be quality. Over the years, Arabian Farms has strived to build the SAHA brand image synonymous to freshness and consistent quality.”

And it’s all thanks to a sprawling one million square feet farm located just 50km south of Dubai, equipped with a fully-automated, self-sufficient feeding mill, three environmentally-controlled rearing houses, seven environmentally-controlled laying houses, and egg collection houses powered by technologically-advanced machinery from Holland.

But no two eggs are created equal. At SAHA’s in-house grading station, eggs are received and “candled” to ensure that each egg meets the grade requirements for

grade AA and A, before being weighed and packed into SAHA Fresh Eggs, SAHA Omega-3 eggs, SAHA Eco Eggs, and the UAE’s first and only pasteurised eggs.

It was only a matter of time before the UAE’s favourite brand of eggs introduces the newest addition to their ever-growing product line, and the time is now: SAHA Fresh Chicken has finally arrived.

Locally farmed at Al Saad along the Al Ain-Abu Dhabi Highway, in the state-of-the-art greenfield project spread across eight million square feet of land, SAHA Fresh Chicken aims to produce 6,000 tonnes of fresh meat per annum. Its vertically integrated broiler chicken production facility is the site of: 21 environmentally-controlled broiler houses powered by the latest machinery from Germany’s Big Dutchman; a fully-automated hatchery from Belgium’s Petersime; a state- of-the-art slaughterhouse from the Netherlands’ Marel; a rendering plant from Haarslev; a wastewater treatment plant from Aqua Marel; and a feed mill from Muyang.

All of the chickens are 100 per cent naturally grown in cage-free environments and nourished with vegetarian feed with no hormones and antibiotics. They are Halal slaughtered using the latest technologically-advanced processing plant under strict hygienic conditions, before being transported to your neighborhood hypermarkets and supermarkets in SAHA’s own fleet of refrigerated trucks.

“All our farms are located within a couple of hours drive from our customers. This enables us to provide the freshest products within the shortest amount of time,” says Dr Ahmed.

A veterinary professional with almost 30 years of experience in poultry, Dr Ahmed and his team have worked relentlessly to help realise the company’s dream and to support the regional Food Security and National Economy.

For most of the farming staff, this means staying at the farm to provide round-the-clock care for the chickens. And for Suheel Ahmed and the management team, this means pooling together more than 200 years of cumulative experience.

But hard work really does pay off, as they continue to reap awards left, rightandcenter. Frombeingawarded the Middle East Excellence Awards Institute’s ‘Food Industry Excellence Award’ to The Bizz 2016’s “Inspirational Company,” Arabian Farms continues to blaze a trail in the business of poultry.

With their expertise in product innovation and exceptional customer service, Arabian Farms aspires to maintain their market standing as the top-of-mind brand for the freshest eggs, and now with the all-new SAHA Fresh Chicken.
