Terrorist attack from Afghan side thwarted

An army soldier sustained injuries in the early hours on Saturday during a terrorist attack from inside Afghanistan across the border on a military checkpoint in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The security forces promptly responded to the attack, said an Inter-services Public Relations (ISPR) statement. “Our troops responded promptly. During exchange of fire a soldier got injured,” the statement said. —
