Pakistan to provide 4,500 scholarships to Afghan students

Pakistan would provide more than 4,500 scholarships to the students of Afghanistan next year. Around 6,000 Afghan students are getting education in the top universities of Pakistan in different fields including medical, engineering and social sciences. This was stated by Ambassador Muhammad Sadiq, Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) and Special Representative for Afghanistan Affairs, in Islamabad on Saturday atw a meeting of Afghanistan Inter-ministerial Coordination Cell (AICC). A high-level delegation led by Health Minister of Afghanistan Dr Ibad met Pakistani officials and discussed the Pak- Afghan relationship and Pakistan's assistance for Afghan citizen in the sector of education and health. He said that Pakistan will provide Rs 1 billion financial assistance to Afghanistan in the health sector.
