The Lead­ers in Lo­gis­tics edi­tion of Lo­gis­tics Mid­dle

East is al­ways an ex­cit­ing one to put to­gether. It’s a chal­lenge try­ing to pre-empt the is­sues that the in­dus­try will be dis­cussing dur­ing the event, while at the same time keep­ing the themes of the month in print sep­a­rate from the agenda of the con­fer­ence.

It’s the best kind of chal­lenge though, be­cause the in­dus­try is al­ways evolv­ing, the top­ics of the day shift like the tide, and to bor­row a quote from Amy Poehler, if you spend a lot of your time with a group of peo­ple who chal­lenge and in­spire you, it will change your life.

I’m im­pressed every month by the peo­ple that work in this in­dus­try, from the ware­house op­er­a­tors find­ing new ways to store greater vol­umes in the same space, to the WMS de­sign­ers and the fork­lift man­u­fac­tur­ers who want to make pick­ing more ef­fi­cient, to the end-users them­selves, such as AW Rosta­mani Life­style (our cover star for Novem­ber).

AWR Life­style re­cently launched their new Amer­i­can Rag store in Dubai Mall, and if you’re older than 30 you likely won’t be shop­ping there, be­cause this store is all about the fu­ture of re­tail, and how it will im­pact the sup­ply chain on the back-end. I chal­lenge you to read the fea­ture and not be im­pressed by the con­cept of lo­gis­tics that Greig Fowler has en­vi­sioned.
