Gerab Group ex­pands fa­cil­i­ties in KIZAD through trio of projects

Gerab Na­tional En­ter­prises es­tab­lish its fab­ri­ca­tion fa­cil­ity, man­u­fac­tur­ing unit and 3PL lo­gis­tics op­er­a­tions in KIZAD, the free­zone has an­nounced.

Un­der the new agree­ments, Gerab Group will launch its pres­ence in KIZAD and Khal­ifa Port through three projects.

It will es­tab­lish the sub­sidiary Qual­ity In­ter­na­tional Co Ltd (Qual­ity In­ter­na­tional) within a 655,000 sqm plot at KIZAD and Khal­ifa Port, which in­cludes a wa­ter­front yard of 172,000 sqm.

A 212,000 sqm plot in KIZAD and Khal­ifa Port will be added to the ex­ist­ing fa­cil­ity for Flexigis­tic Lo­gis­tics LLC’s (Flexigis­tic). This plot will be de­vel­oped into multi-user fa- cil­i­ties.

Gerab will also en­hance Sa­ma­mat Flow Con­trol LLC’s (Sa­ma­mat) pro­duc­tion ca­pa­bil­i­ties by set­ting up an in­te­grated pro­duc­tion fa­cil­ity.

“We are de­lighted that, Gerab Group has found Khal­ifa Port and KIZAD’s com­pet­i­tive ad­van­tages so at­trac­tive that they have de­cided to en­ter into a num­ber of new agree­ments with us to es­tab­lish their op­er­a­tions here,” said Cap­tain Mo­hamed Juma Al Shamisi, the CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports.

“The com­pany is one of many ma­jor in­sti­tu­tions that have cho­sen KIZAD and Khal­ifa Port as a base for their re­gional op­er­a­tions due to our com­mit­ment to de­velop a world-class in­te­grated in­dus­trial ecosys­tem that al­lows com­pa­nies to col­lab­o­rate and cre­ate in­no­va­tive so­lu­tions,” he added.

Ab­dul­lah Sharafi, Pres­i­dent of Gerab Group, said: “Ex­pand­ing the port­fo­lio of as­sets is an in­te­gral part of our strate­gic plan for con­tin­ued growth and de­vel­op­ment across the re­gion, with spe­cific fo­cus through in­vest­ment in do­mes­tic op­er­a­tions em­pha­sis­ing our lo­cal pres­ence.”

“The main driver of this ex­pan­sion plan is Qual­ity In­ter­na­tional, which will pro­vide a com­pre­hen­sive so­lu­tion to the re­gions process equip­ment man­u­fac­tur­ing re­quire­ments,” he added.
