Expo 2020 Dubai announces the first set of their NFTs

The Expo 2020 Dubai team has created its first collection of limited-edition non-fungible tokens (NFTs). In a marketing mailer, the Expo team highlighte­d how enthusiast­s could be among the first to own the collectibl­e digital art pieces.

“All you have to do is sign up and share your Ethereum wallet address by Monday, June 20,” the mailer said, directing enthusiast­s and added “We're inviting you to continue to be part of our community as we embark on our next exciting chapter of Expo 2020 Dubai,”

In other news, the Expo craze continues as the event recently launched the ‘EXPO 2020 Dubai Minecraft’. In a tweet, the team encourages visitors to start their digital exploratio­n journey and relive the nostalgia by visiting their favorite pavilions in the virtual world. On top of this, visitors can enjoy the tour as robots will serve as their designated tour guides.

Dubbed ‘the world’s greatest show’, the EXPO 2020 Dubai ran from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022. In a span of 182 days, the UAE’s first World Expo amassed a total of 24.1 million visits. Notably, world-class artists like Christina Aguilera, Lea Salonga, Alicia Keys, and Coldplay performed on the global stage.

NFTs are taking the world by storm that even brand giants like Louis Vuitton, Samsung, McDonald’s, and Adidas have hopped on the NFT train.
