Celebrating the visual arts in GCC,
The fourth forum to be hosted by UAE in December
The GCC Visual Arts Forum’s fourth iteration will be held at Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi from December 20 to 25, organised by the UAE and the GCC’s Secretariat General. According to the GCC Cultural Strategy 2020–2030, which was published on the orders of the heads of state and ministers of culture of the GCC countries, the conference aims to promote the originality of GCC artists.
To encourage more knowledge and experience sharing among the participants, the programme includes a number of technical courses, cultural trips, and networking activities. The same location will host an additional art exhibition by a number of GCC artists through December 30 that is motivated by the event’s tagline, “You and I, what and when?” The art exhibition will honor the top three entries in four categories, including visual arts, traditional Arabic calligraphy, Arabic calligraphy letters, and photography, in addition to providing a platform for the artists.
The UAE places significant priority on funding creative endeavours, according to Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of
Culture and Youth.
“Art projects are essential to the development and expansion of civilizations, as well as to our own mental health. Such artistic endeavours help to create a fertile and supportive environment for other creations, “she continued.
If interested in participating in the exhibition, kindly visit the UAE Ministry of Culture and Youth’s official website to know more. Only one artwork can be submitted by the participant, and the deadline for submission is November 21.
