Speaking of theatre, Gagan Mudgal is another name that has tried (and succeeded) in bringing freshness to the artistic realm.

You would not have missed his Visit Visa, a quirky chronicle of the struggles, trials and triumphs of a job seeker in Dubai. Now, he has something more exciting planned. His next play, Park, completely breaking convention, will be staged outdoors – in parks around Dubai. With it, the play goes to people’s villas where it will be performed in the open. Incidentally, this is based on a script by Manav Kaul (Tumhari Sulu, Ghoul). “Necessity is the mother of invention,” quips the radio personality about his unique concept that will also feature Big FM MJ Arpit and actor Rohit Bharti. “Venues are so expensive, this play lent itself to being staged outside.” Good idea, we must add. PS: He will also be staging the 30th show of Visit Visa soon so if you haven’t had a chance to watch it, this is it!
