It was a unique switch – from writing to fashion

– but Reema Ameer was meant to make the transition. After spending nearly 12 years as a journalist (during which she worked for TIME magazine in London and then for Grazia and Harper’s Bazaar Middle East), Reema decided to give her pen a rest post motherhood, and take up her other passion, fashion design. Reema is married to an Indian and that provided her the much-needed inspiration for her design philosophy. Her deep understanding of what a woman really wants, led her to create a contemporary collection of easy-to-wear separates in beautiful ethnic fabrics sourced from India, and the label Reema Ameer was born. Making a mark on the regional fashion scene, bridging two cultures together through design while being a super mum, Reema has shown that a woman can have it all if she puts her mind and heart to it.
