Celebrate Street Food
Palace Downtown launched an exclusive night celebrating Indian street food. Here’s why you should be there
Who doesn’t love a whiff of nostalgia? Food is one of the ways we connect with our roots and that’s exactly what you do when you dine at Ewaan, the fabulous restaurant at Palace Downtown on Thursdays.
Launching a whole new concept – the Indian street food night – Ewaan raises a toast to various street food delicacies from around India. Thursday evenings won’t be the same again as the swish restaurant adorns a whole new look and vibe, celebrating the best that Indian food has to offer. Recreating the gullies and colours of India, you will find street style carts, lamps, a chaat counter, rangoli and other art work that add to the festive ambiance. And then there is the food. Carefully crafted by Chef Avinash Mohan, the lip-smacking fare features over 50 dishes you would love to dig into. From tangy chaats to soft kebabs and flavourful biryani, there is little that the menu doesn’t cover. Also, expect to find some authentic South Indian fare including the famed kappa and meen curry (tapioca and fish curry, a Kerala delicacy) and parippu vada among others. It also takes you up north with delicious thandaai, parathas and rolls. And oh, how can we not mention the chai and biscuits that reminds you of your childhood! This is a treat to the tastebuds, so take this gastronomic journey, rich in spices, aromas and flavours.
