This year’s MEP Contractor of the Year award went to China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East (CSCEC ME), with EFECO (Emirates Falcon Electromechanical Company) bagging the Highly Commended.
CSCEC ME started operations in 2003 with work on Palm Jumeirah. Having executed globally some of the complex projects in various specialised disciplines such as airports, financial centres, super high-rise buildings, commercial and residential towers, major iconic architectural and steel structures, the company was used to operating in different territories. The MEP consultancy of the year was bagged by Black & White Engineering. The company also won Project Manager of the Year (Jean Pierre Hamel) and Highly Commended award for Mechanical Engineer of the Year (Dan Williams).
Gavin Appleby, managing director of EFECO (Emirates Falcon Electro- mechanical Company), won the MEP Executive of the Year award.
This year the Supplier of the Year award went to Leminar Air Conditioning company and the Highly Commended went to BKG Modular Systems.
MEP Middle East Awards was held on 7 November at JW Marriott Marquis, Dubai Ballroom.
A total of 16 winning awards were handed out on the night.
In addition, for categories where the judges felt it was a very close call, there was 16 highly commended awards given to companies and individuals.
There were also a number of exciting prize draws for individuals at the event, courtesy of KAD Air Conditioning.
More than 400 decision-makers were present at the event to celebrate the achievements of MEP professionals from across the Middle East.
