Founder of Le­banese ar­chi­tec­ture stu­dio BAD. Built by Associative Data, Le­banese ar­chi­tect Ali Basbous has seen his prac­tice grow steadily over the past year. Ex­pand­ing from 19 team mem­bers in 2017 to 23 in 2018, his prac­tice has de­vel­oped a num­ber of con­cept de­signs over the past 12 months, like ISF School, which was short­listed at the MEA Awards 2018, as well as worked on var­i­ous projects in­clud­ing One In­de­pen­dence Square and 36’ Ci­tadelle in Le­banon, Alikimia Barcelona and CREP UAE. BAD. has also worked with NGOs to de­sign schools for or­phans in Le­banon. The prac­tice’s re­search de­part­ment BAD (Rx) is also in­volved in many so­cial and wel­fare ac­tiv­i­ties that spread DIY ob­jec­tives across Asia and Africa. Al­though BAD.’s key mar­kets in­clude Le­banon, the UAE and Saudi Ara­bia, it aims to gain ex­po­sure in China over the next 12 months
