Transsys enables customers to do more with Oracle

Similar to consumer voice-activated assistants such as Amazon’s Alexa, orand Apple’s Siri, Voice as a User Interface or Conversational UIS can be as effective in the enterprise.

Though still in their early days for enterprise software, such as ERP, Conversational UIS hold promise in making many work tasks easier and improving workflow in situations such as when mobile workers need hands-free access to important data. In the long run, experts expect such Conversational UIS to usurp traditional interfaces.

Among the pioneers of this technology in the region is Transsys Solutions, an Oracle Platinum Partner.

People do not want to enter data; they would rather talk to the application, says Prabu Balasubramanyan, executive director, Transsys Solutions.

Conversational UIS will have numerous benefits in the enterprise. Voice user interfaces allow faster, convenient interaction with customers. Employees can accomplish more in far less time with Ai-enabled assistants shouldering the burden. The company now offers TransSys Intelligent Assistant (TIA), a chatbot with deep integration to both on-premise application and cloud application to voice- enable any enterprise application, Prabu explains.

All the new technologies are aligned with customers’ natural progression, says Prabu. “After years of ERP, users then start to consider the next level-can I go beyond the enterprise and bring competitive advantage into the system?”

This quest for a competitive edge is why IOT is increasingly being adopted across the enterprise. “Organisations now want to connect their non-human assets such as vehicles, assets, plants and so on,” Prabu observes.

As an Oracle Platinum Partner, TransSys Solutions works extensively with Oracle for both the digital and the digital edge solutions. “Everyone is talking today about adopting cloud solutions from a transaction processing perspective. But there are customers who want to move beyond transaction processing, bringing Conversational UI, and adopting IOT for fleet monitoring, for asset management etc. Today, a lot of the work we do goes beyond typical Oracle applications.”

Transsys Solutions has also developed a mobility platform called Mobebiz which allows customers to mobile-enable their on-premise applications, both Oracle E-biz applications and non- Oracle applications.

Transsys Solutions was among the pioneers in taking Oracle Cloud to customers in the region, says Prabu. “We were the first partner in the region to execute a multi-pillar cloud engagement, working with Oracle since the early days of Oracle Cloud in the region,” he adds. Transsys Solutions has won multiple awards from Oracle for its cloud delivery strategy.

Businesses want to connect their non- human assets such as vehicles, assets and plants Balasubramanyan says.
