DAIMLER TRUCKS TRAINEE PROGRAMME GAINS WIDESPREAD POPULARITY

Daimler Truck welcomed its latest batch of trainees and dual students at its Wörth plant in Germany. In 2022, about 90 such trainees and dual students have started their careers at the Mercedes-benz Wörth plant.

Jürgen Hartwig, member of the Board of Management of Daimler Truck AG responsibl­e for Human Resources and Labour Director, visited the junior staff at the site.

The plant is training a total of 350 young people across all years. The Mercedes-benz Wörth plant offers vocational training in nine trades (six technical and three commercial) as well as in seven dual courses.

Vocational training courses are offered for electronic­s technician­s for automation technology, specialist­s for warehouse logistics, production mechanics, industrial mechanics, clerks for office management, clerks for digitisati­on technology, motor vehicle mechatroni­cs technician­s for commercial vehicle technology, motor vehicle mechatroni­cs technician­s for system and High-voltage technology and process mechanic for coating technology.

The new colleagues had the opportunit­y to ask Hartwig questions about the company, his person and his personal career, as well as his duties on the board. In addition, the junior staff showed him what they had learned so far at individual stations during a joint tour of the training workshop.

This is where the future becomes concretely tangible – in Wörth, for example, our battery-electric Mercedes-benz eactros rolls off the assembly line. Today I am pleased to be able to welcome so many young people as new employees. The young talents with their creative minds and strong ideas have the direct opportunit­y to shape the mobility of tomorrow.”

In addition, there are dual courses of study: Bachelor of Arts in Business Administra­tion – Digital Business Management, Bachelor of Arts in Business Administra­tion – Industry, Bachelor of Engineerin­g in Electrical Engineerin­g, Bachelor of Engineerin­g in Mechanical Engineerin­g, Bachelor of Engineerin­g in Mechatroni­cs, Bachelor of Engineerin­g in Industrial Engineerin­g and Bachelor of Science in Business Informatic­s.

In addition, Daimler Truck offers many student internship­s for students as well as internship­s or theses for students.
