TELL ME ABOUT YOUR PRESENCE AT MINING SHOWS THIS YEAR.

We participat­ed in two mining events this year, which were Hillhead 2022 in the UK, where the event took place in a quarry, and Nigeria Mining Week 2022 in Abuja. It was great to see the industry come together again, face to face. We look forward to welcoming everyone and participat­ing in such exhibition­s again.

WHAT WERE YOUR KEY TAKEAWAYS FROM THESE INDUSTRY EVENTS?

Our key takeaways are that there is growing demand, as we witnessed the potential for the upcoming year. Our participat­ion enabled us to showcase & share Magna’s knowledge and expertise in the industry. Currently, all operators are looking for cost-effective solutions, and we at Magna Tyres provide operation-specific products, and always work close to the users to help them achieve the maximum out of their every investment in our brand and products.

WHAT ARE YOUR KEY GEOGRAPHIC FOCUS AREAS FOR 2023?

The key focus area in 2023 could be India, as we have our new functional office in India along with Africa and the Middle East. Since the focus is India, our main target clients are the mining segment and acquisitio­ns are on the table in 2023.

HOW DOES THE MINING INDUSTRY FACTOR INTO YOUR GROWTH PLANS IN THE MEA REGION?

The mining industry is promising in the MEA region, which is endowed with various mineral resources. Many countries in the region are focusing and budgeting to further develop their mines to attain the tremendous­ly ambitious economic goals of the country, and have the potential to go much further.

We would like to emphasize the sector, as we have vast knowhow in the industry and we are a trusted solutions provider for the mining industry, by supplying our products to many large operators in the MEA region.

We look forward to expanding our presence through many local operators and other trade channels. To support this growth plan, we already have a regional office in the United Arab Emirates and South Africa, and trade partners in many countries in the MEA region to ensure superlativ­e support to our customers.

WHAT ARE YOUR STRATEGIC PRIORITIES IN 2023?

We are planning to grow by 20% in 2023 as all pandemic and travel restrictio­ns are over and opportunit­ies are opening up. Things have changed, and tire demand is increasing after the pandemic, which is a positive sign for us as a global supplier for large industries. We at Magna are ready to meet market requisites in terms of maintainin­g stock, fast and consistent delivery, and after sales support. We are always dedicated to providing value added service and to live up to the expectatio­ns of our customers.
